Interview Instructions
Use the following 6 interview questions to interview an uncle/aunt, parent, grand-parents or other adult who remembers the Vietnam war and inquiry as to what their feelings were regarding U.S. involvement in the conflict. You may create your own questions to add the original four if you so desire. When you return to class you will present your findings to the class and stimulate a discussion comparing and contrasting with the textual facts.
1. Where did you live in 1969? How old were you? Was your town rural or urban?
2. What was your opinion of the Vietnam War at that time? What were 2 or 3 reasons you felt the way you did?
3. Did you protest the war? If so, how?
4. What was your thoughts when the Kent State shootings occurred?
5. What is your opinion today of the Vietnam War and has it changed? If so, why?
6. What is your opinion today of the Vietnam Soldier and has it changed? If so, why?
